Faith of a child.

As we made our way up the mountain range behind the children's home I mentioned to Cathy Perry, a Lifepoint team member that it looked like it was about to rain. She and I agreed saying that it wouldn't keep us from making the 5 mile journey over very rough terrain. She then said maybe God would "rain" down his blessing and bring many people to the one room school house where we would meet. I told her that I was expecting only about 15 kids at the most. As we made it to the old school house we saw that a large group of children and adults were already waiting on us. What a surprise!

Shortly after getting set up, we saw that we had 53 children and about 20 adults! Cathy reminded me that God had indeed "rained down"on us bringing us a large group to minister to.

After some singing and a craft for the kids the gospel message was presented. And after giving an invitation, nobody had raised their hand stating they had prayed to receive Christ. Just then an 8 year old girl came forward and looked up at me and said in a desperate voice out loud that she wanted to know Jesus. It was completley quiet as if the Holy Spirit had total control of any distractions. I then felt led to talk about how Christ said that to be saved one needs to have the "faith of a child" in order to accept Him.
Nancy (left) accepted Christ, she is with her mother and brother Bryan.

This little girl named Nancy was sure that she needed a Savior and she didn't mind coming forward on her own in front of all those people to ask Jesus into her heart. It was clear to us that God had used us that day to sow seeds among this group of needy people who had traveled long distances. We told this group we would be back in a month to have another bible club in which I will bring several teenagers from the home to help minister to these precious people who need the Lord.
