What can you do to help in this ministry?

We want to share with you several areas in this ministry that need prayer. Jesus reminded his disciples and followers how important prayer was. We know that it is essential to communicate our needs to our heavenly father who cares and provides for us. At GSCH the following are key areas that we ask you to pray for:
God has recently revealed the opportunity for about 35 children to be available for possible adoption to wanting and deserving families.

This is a first ever in the ten year history of this home!
We are beginning to see God opening the door for this very important area of this ministry.

Pray that these children who have been abandoned or have never received a visit from a family member since they were placed at the home can be adopted.

Pray for the 100+ teenagers at the home that they will mature in their relationship with the Lord. Many of them struggle with self esteem issues and feeling of uncertainty.

Pray for the 16 (tias)house mothers who live in the casitas with an average of 28 children. They are challenged daily with discipline issues and managing the household.

Pray for the funding situation with the Good Shepherd Children's Academy (on site school). Its funding has been down over the last two years.
Students (children at the home) assembled for singing songs before starting classes.

Lastly,

Pray for the older teenagers who are nearing the time for them to depart from the home and be on their own. Approx. 20 teenagers have transitioned out of the home in the last few months. Pray that they will be ready to trust God for his continuing guidance.
